UK demand for Turkish holiday is strong
One of Europe’s biggest travel businesses has reported that UK resident’s demand for summer holidays is strong, with determined sun-seekers looking for destinations abroad. This research by TUI Travel has suggested that approximately 87 percent of their UK customers aim to take an overseas vacation this year.
This will be similar to the amount of holiday makers taking an overseas vacation last year. TUI states that these findings are consistent with the holiday booking patterns seen by the company over the last few weeks.
Turkey and Egypt were amongst two of the medium-haul destinations, outside the Eurozone, that were experiencing high levels of demand.
