Turkey “well-known destination†for US tourists
Tourism attaché from the Turkish embassy in New York have highlighted that Turkey has recently become a well-known destination for the population of the United States. This was demonstrated by the popularity of Turkey’s pavilion at the “New York Times Travel Show†this year.
The “New York Times Travel Show†is one of the United State’s most important travel shows and has been known to attract a high number of visitors. The travel show was attended by the Turkish Tourism and Promotion Office in New York, as well as eight other Turkish tourism agencies.
Turkish embassy’s Tourism attaché, Hasan Zongur, stated that his country will continue to conduct promotional campaigns in the U.S in order to attract a greater number of American tourists in 2009.
